Outer Banks Fishing 2014

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone is enjoying time with friends and family over this holiday season!  Christmas with 5 kids here was an awesome and tiring experience!  My wife… really, I don’t know how she can do it all!  Thank you!  I should never take any of this for granted!   It’s New Year’s Eve and its a time of reflecting over the year…the successes and setbacks, fun times, and tough times.    In 2014 we added a new capt,  Capt Amanda.  She did phenomenal in her first year.  Clients called and complimented and rebooked often.  Her fun, laid back style coupled with her drive to catch fish and improve daily made for a great addition to NC’s inshore fishery.  Heck.  On her first guided cobia trip the first fish was a 78lber!  We are really proud of her and can’t wait to see her accomplishments in 2015!

Outer Banks fishing was a 2014 success!

It was pretty ok in 2014!  Outer Banks fishing was outstanding on the Rock Solid from CB’s nine pound speckled trout, to Scott Shields (Blue Moon Beach Grill) 96 pound cobia, to a ten pound flounder, and Mr. Stallings 40 pound gaffer, (just to name a few).  We’ve seen Dads, Moms and Grandads taking their kids fishing, singing and rocking out on the boat, having fun.   I appreciate seeing the familiar faces year after year coming back no matter the fishing!  Through the slow days, storms  and breakdowns or the fantastic rock star days, it’s always an adventure and I look forward to many more.

Meat Hog Fishing took off!!!   This lure company concept has been in my mind for over 10 years and I have tried to get it going with other friends and guide buddies.  Now it has come to fruition.  With the owner and all the efforts of the great Lama, this never could of been possible.  We loved all the support.  We kept everything in America!  Designed and built by guides and fisherman for guides and fisherman!

Thanks to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, TW’s , Whalebone tackle, Meat Hog Fishing, Oden’s Dock, Wanchese Landing, Diesel Wayne, Radcliff Marine, West Marine, my Dock Partners, and so many more.

Special thanks to all our supporters fishing on the Outer Banks.  I have reiterated this many times during the year.  You guys help make this possible.  Old clients and new, without your patronage I simply could not accomplish this.  This is my business, my passion, and a big part of my life.  I hope you guys see the enthusiasm I try to bring each and every trip.  I apologize for my non punctual manner, sometimes the boat a little disorganized, or needs a hard scrubbing. Heck I cannot even sing in tune.  I do tend to stick my foot in my mouth and I will talk your ear off.  You also know I stay out the extra hour(s) and run the extra mile we needed. I’ll fish for you on that evening trip or on a day off because I care.    You guys  I would be happy to fish with you and have a great 2015!!!!!!!!
