Rock Solid Fishing Captains

Captain Aaron Kelly - ROCK SOLID

Growing up on the Outer Banks, it was inevitable that I would become a fisherman. I grew up in Kitty Hawk and fished, surfed, & played on the water my whole life. Fishing every spare minute, I learned the basics from my dad and remembered all inside tips and tricks. I have fished these waters long enough to predict the patterns and behaviors of the local fisheries, find the ins and outs and of course the "sneaky spots"!  I work with of other reputable captains constantly sharing information so everyone has the best day possible!  My patience, love of the ocean and outgoing, positive attitude makes for a great day on the water.

My love for fishing goes back to my childhood, fishing freshwater lakes, ponds, creeks; any body of water that might hold fish. I moved to the Outer Banks in 1997, and started working for a local boat builder.  I found another passion building boats and soon found living here there was a whole new fishery (salt water). I was immediately hooked as if I was a kid again, spending all my spare time on or near the water.  I finally realized with the help of Capt Kelly that I needed to be on the water full-time enjoying what I love to do most… fishing and showing others what the Outer Banks fishing has to offer.

Captain Michael Goetsch - SOUTHERN RUN

As a twenty year resident of the Outer Banks, I have been fortunate to have enjoyed fishing with great friends who happen to be great fisherman.  I have carried with me my love for fishing to many places where I have lived and traveled.  It also has lead me to experience both commercial and recreational fishing. I appreciate the people, the places, and the sea creatures we encounter. Working with Rock Solid Fishing is again an opportunity to have fun on the water fishing and sharing the love with others.  Look forward to seeing you all out there.
