Rock Solid

Fish aboard the Rock Solid with Captain Kelly
About the Captain & Vessel
Growing up on the beach, it was inevitable that Captain Kelly would become a fisherman. He grew up in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and fished ,surfed, played on the Outer Banks his whole life. As a boy, Captain Kelly fished with his dad and learned the basics. Fishing every spare minute, he learned and remembered all inside tips and tricks.
He has fished these waters long enough to predict the patterns and behaviors of the local fisheries. Captain Kelly has researched to find the ins and outs and of course the "sneaky spots"! He works along side of his other captains constantly sharing information so everyone has the best day possible!
The Rock Solid is docked in slip #3, on the same side as the marina.
Captain Kelly is United States Coast Guard certified as a fishing captain. He is a member of the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, and is on the G-Loomis, raymarine, mercury, oho, pro staffs. He is a respected captain among the fishing community.
The vessel, Rock Solid, is a 27' center console with a tower. It is equipped with a cell phone, VHF, depth sounder, Global Positioning System (GPS), and a 4KW radar for weather tracking and pin pointing the location of birds.
The Rock Solid is powered by a 315 cummins diesel and is docked at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center in South Nags Head, North Carolina.
Aboard the Rock Solid, Captain Kelly's goal is for each charter to have a fun, memorable day. He only uses the top of the line equipment such as G-Loomis graphite rods, Ambassador 6500 reels, Calcutta 400 and 700 reels, and CalUSA cast nets. These fine products give Captain Kelly the reassurance that his charter is fishing with the best.
